In this summer program, student scholars are placed in diverse research labs, field sites, environmental nonprofits, and government agencies across New England. Interns gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of professors, research scientists, and environmental professionals, with opportunities to network with peers, alumni, and other industry experts. Scholars spend most of their time involved in research projects on-site and also spend some time dedicated to professional development through webinars, workshops, and mentoring. Interns present their work at an Annual Capstone Symposium, and select scholars may return the following year as peer mentors, interning in a new setting. Past research projects have covered conservation, environmental policy, justice, pollution, community action, and more.
